At Bio Organs, we are creating vascularized cardiac tissue patches using patient-specific iPSC-derived cardiovascular cells. These patches can connect to the patient's blood supply immediately at implantation and trigger a reduced immune response.

Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer in the world. In the U.S., one person dies from cardiovascular diseases every 33 seconds. Heart attack, which causes half of the cardiovascular deaths, can leave the heart scarred, weakened, and enlarged, eventually leading to heart failure. Today, heart failure affects 6 million Americans and costs the healthcare system an estimated $70 billion each year—highlighting an urgent need for better understanding and treatments.
Bio Organs is a biotechnology start-up aiming to develop patient-specific, vascularized cardiac tissue patches to help restore heart function after heart attack and delay the progress toward heart failure. Using cutting-edge tissue engineering, 3D bioprinting, and personalized iPSC-derived cell therapies, we create vascularized cardiac patches that can connect with the patient's own heart blood circulation. Our mission is to transform cardiac care by repairing and regenerating damaged hearts, ultimately improving the quality of life for millions of patients around the world.
